The Year in: Japanese Food Packaging


On the outside: a golden butterfly. On the inside: foul-tasting brown beans coated in a sticky goo. Some cooking may be necessary. Awaiting translation.

Was it a glutinous ball stuffed with red bean paste, possibly coated (or not) in sesame seeds or flour?

This was just beans, in a mucus-like goo.
